If you have any questions about this institutional scholarship program provided in collaboration with the Global Learning Foundation, you can reach us at events@theglobalyouthcongress.com.

1. Program Overview & Eligibility

The World AI Challenge Pass is an institutional scholarship grant designed to democratize access to technology education and innovation. It allows accredited secondary education institutions to offer their students full access to World AI Challenge Online events at no cost.

Nature of the Program: The World AI Challenge is not a technical coding competition. It is an educational exercise focused on entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and AI ethics. Participants work to solve global problems using AI concepts, developing business cases and strategic solutions.

Institutional Eligibility

To apply for an allocation of Challenge Passes, an organization must be:

  • An accredited secondary education institution (Middle School or High School) recognized by the local Ministry of Education, or a globally recognized accreditation body (e.g., CIS, NEASC, IB, WASC).

  • Located in a country currently designated for scholarship allocation by the Global Youth Congress.

  • Sanctions Compliance: The Institution warrants that it is not located in, or owned by, any entity or individual subject to sanctions by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the United Nations, or other relevant international bodies. The Global Youth Congress reserves the right to screen all applicants against international watchlists.

  • Sole Discretion: The Global Youth Congress reserves the sole and absolute right to determine if an institution meets the accreditation and eligibility standards required for this program.

Authorized Representative

The application must be submitted by a Faculty Advisor or Administrator who warrants they have the legal authority to bind the Institution to these terms and conditions.

Student Eligibility

Passes are distributed by the Institution to "Scholars". A Scholar must be:

  • Between the ages of 12 and 18.

  • Actively enrolled in the recipient Institution.

  • A novice or experienced student with a demonstrated interest in technology, entrepreneurship, or ethics.

2. Scope of Benefits

A World AI Challenge Pass provides the recipient student with:

  • Full Participant Status: Access to World AI Challenge Online events with the exact same privileges, workshops, and mentorship materials as a paid standard participant.

  • Certification: Eligibility to receive participation certificates and awards (including Innovation Awards and Pitch Competition honors).

Exclusions:

  • The pass applies exclusively to Online challenges. It strictly excludes live/in-person summits or hackathons.

  • The pass does not cover technology costs (internet access, hardware, software) required to attend the online event.

  • No Guarantee of Availability: The Global Youth Congress does not guarantee that the online platform will be available at all times or without interruption.

3. Allocation & Budgeting

By-Country Allocation Model

Scholarships are allocated on a by-country basis to ensure a diverse, multicultural international environment.

  • Quotas: The Global Youth Congress sets specific scholarship quotas per country based on regional budgets and diversity goals.

  • Variability: Budgets and allocation numbers vary from term to term. An allocation granted in one semester does not guarantee an equal or any allocation in the next.

  • Multicultural Interest: Preference is given to institutions that enhance the cultural and intellectual diversity of the cohort. The Global Youth Congress reserves the right to prioritize regions currently underrepresented in the program.

4. Application & Redemption Process

  1. Institutional Application: The School administration or Faculty Advisor submits a request for a block of scholarships.

  2. Verification: The Global Youth Congress validates the school's accreditation and checks current regional availability.

  3. Grant: If approved, the School receives a specific number of Challenge Passes (promo codes or a roster upload link).

  4. Redemption: Students must register individually using the provided unique link and assigned group code.

    • Strict Deadline: Passes must be redeemed/activated by the student within 10 calendar days of the transmission of the grant email by GYC.

    • Clawback: Any passes not activated within this 10-day window are automatically voided and reclaimed for redistribution to other institutions.

    • Real Identity Policy: Accounts must correspond to actual, currently enrolled students. The creation of "placeholder," "dummy," or "ghost" accounts to hoard scholarship spots is strictly prohibited. Names on accounts cannot be changed after registration without a formal administrative review.

5. Conditions & Limitations

  • Estimated Value: Each Challenge Pass represents an estimated retail value of $27 USD. This figure represents the educational investment underwritten by the Global Learning Foundation. However, this pass has no redeemable cash value, surrender value, or exchange value for the institution or the student.

  • Prohibition on Resale: Institutions are strictly prohibited from selling, bartering, or auctioning these passes to students or third parties. They must be distributed free of charge. Any evidence of commercialization will result in the immediate termination of the partnership and blacklisting of the institution.

  • Non-Transferable: Once registered to a specific student, the pass is personal to that individual and cannot be transferred, shared, or reassigned.

6. Intellectual Property & Publicity

  • Content License: By participating, the Institution and Scholar grant the Global Youth Congress a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and display any content generated during the challenge (including business plans, pitch decks, white papers, and video presentations) for educational and promotional purposes.

  • Idea Ownership: While GYC retains the right to display the work, the core intellectual property of any specific invention or business concept developed by the student remains with the student, subject to the license above.

  • Trademarks & Endorsements: The grant of this scholarship does not constitute a partnership, joint venture, or accreditation endorsement. The Institution may not use the Global Youth Congress logos or trademarks in any official capacity without prior written permission.
